Looks delicious, but I’m more of a bourbon drinker than gin. Still, seeing your “evening with a sandwich” subject line in my email inbox always puts a smile on my face!

It’s funny but tomorrow is King’s Day here in the Netherlands and that means that the whole country is turning orange (the color of the royals) and this cocktail would be absolutely perfect for tomorrow! Looks so good!

I knew there was aperol in that drink! It’s such a pretty color! I purchased maraschino liqueur once expecting something completely different than fumes! But I bet it’s a great cocktail!

First word – “Yum!”

First I love the color of this cocktail. I’m not really a gin drinker so I’m not sure if I would like it but it looks beautiful.

This looks just marvelous! And so pretty too!

We keep Aperol in our bar for a friend. I’ll have to suggest we make this cocktail the next time he visits.

Looks delicious and with nearly all liquor, I’d say care is required when drinking them – like a manhatten.

I am looking forward to trying this sometime soon. It’s a perfect springtime drink for a gin-drinker like me!

As Joel commented above, we’re more bourbon drinkers than cocktail drinkers around here. However, with that said, I’m not opposed to a good gin cocktail now and then. This sounds quite delicious, Velva!!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of (nor tried) First Word cocktail, but the blend of flavours sounds terrific – I particularly love the Aperol and Maraschino liqueur here. Need to try this!

My husband knew a guy who’s company made Maraschino cherries, he refused to eat them because of the chemicals used to make the cherries and knowing this totally turned me off. I’ve not heard of Maraschino liqueur.

We always have Aperol on hand for Aperol Spritz. I wonder how this would taste with prosecco instead of Gin and Dry Vermouth? I believe there is a San Pelligrino Dark Cherry and Pomegranite sparkling water. Now my wheels are spinning 🙂

I’d never heard of First Word cocktails. Thanks for the intro — and I have all ingredients so here comes our weekend libation!

An interesting cocktail that looks really pretty too. Calling all gin lovers! Truthfully, I’ve never heard of first word coctails.
